Methodist Men

The Methodist men group has been one of the core ministries at Carlson.

Over the years, Carlson has been blessed with the work of the our men's group through their world famous annual "Chicken Dinner" that has helped raised money for ministries within Carlson and other needs like raising funds to help Christians in Ukraine.

If you're interested in hearing more about all the good that the men's group are doing and want to take part, come see what we're all about!

Sewing Angels

Our Sewing angels ministry is one of our most cherished ministries here at Carlson.

The Sewing Angels consist of individuals from Carlson and our community coming together to work on prayer quilts for someone they know that is going through an illness or a hard time dealing with a loss.

Each quilt comes with pairs of strings spread across the quilt and the pairs of strings are to tie into a knot as a prayer has been prayed. This act ties the prayer into the quilt hence the name "prayer quilt". And when the person who receives the quilt covers themselves with the quilt they'll also be covered by the prayers tied into the quilt as well. This is a sweet and thoughtful way the Sewing Angels practice their faith for those in need.

The Sewing Angels have also sewed lots of prayer quilts for the all new babies and young children at Carlson. We are beyond blessed to have these ladies using their hands and talents they have to be a wonderful blessing to others.

If you'd like take part in this meaningful ministry, please come join the Sewing Angels. You don't need any experience in sewing, just bring your helpful hands and a willing heart!

The Sewing Angels meet in the Annex every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month from 10am-12pm.

Tuesday Morning Prayer Group

Along with our pastor, our weekly Tuesday morning prayer is led by our lay leader at 7am in the Narthex.

As we go about our busy day, week in and week out, Tuesday morning prayer offers a quiet and solemn time to focus and orient our hearts and thoughts on Christ. It is also a time to take on the needs and the burden of our church and community in prayer and surrender them at the feet of Jesus in submission to the perfect will of the Father.

So, come and join our hands in prayer.

Matthew 18:19-20

“Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
